Real talk, if you want the rewards, you gotta put in the work. If you want things to grow, you gotta make moves. If you want that paper, that cheddar, that dough…you gotta do the thing. If you want the success that you see others having, you gotta do at least some of those things up there. BUT, maybe right now isn’t the right time, and that’s ok.
Hopefully that first paragraph didn’t scare you away. So, there’s a thing called contrast marketing, and while I don’t always love it, psychology is a real thing, and so I’m gonna do a bit of it right now. Actually, I already did it by throwing out all of those aggressive phrases in the first paragraph.
Contrast marketing is when you call attention to what’s out there/what’s being done, and use it as a way to explain how and why what you’re doing is better. I think there’s definitely a time and a place for it, but me being me, I typically prefer to just highlight what I’m doing and let the rest fall by the side.
So, why then did I start this email with all of anxiety provoking material? Because it’s what people have been saying to me, and I want to offer an alternative. Not at all saying that that stuff, or that that approach, is wrong. Just saying that I’ve got something else to offer. So, yes, this blog is two-fold. On the one hand, I wanted to drop a little biz marketing lesson. On the other, I wanted to plug the Mafia, because I believe in it that damn much.
I’ve been in this digital business game for a few years now, and in the movement world for even longer. During that time it has become more and more apparent to me that my strong suit is NOT providing super detailed strategy or going super deep with a single person or topic, but rather, providing an introduction, over-arching concepts, resources, and a community for those who are in it for the long-haul.
That is exactly what the Mafia is.
I’ve had a few people DM me and tell me that they didn’t join the Beta Mafia because they have so much on their plate and they don’t even know where to start.
That is exactly why they should join the Mafia.
The Mafia is a both a community and a resource, neither of which expire or disappear forever. If you can’t watch a video today, watch it tomorrow. If you can’t attend a live call, watch the recording. If you feel overwhelmed, post about it in the group and find an accountability buddy.
Yes, there are monthly topics in order to provide a framework, BUT, as long as you’re a member you’ll have access to the content, which means there is no fire! Learn the things when you’re ready, and know that you have access to a ton of resources and 175 dope humans for whatever phase of the journey you may be in.
As you know, yes, the Mafia provides resources for BOTH clinical and digital business topics, and NO, it is not just for physical therapists.
If you're reading this, know that ou made the right decision. This is exactly where you're supposed to be.
We are your people. We will hold the wall. We will raise the tide. Together.
