DM #28: A solid foundation is a prerequisite for successful movement. Often times folks get too caught up trying to work on higher level movements without first ensuring that they own the basics. This generally leaves you with the ability to perform a bastardized version of that single movement and an inability to carry that movement pattern over into any other exercise.
Master the fundamentals and suddenly you have the building blocks required to create these more advanced movements. Give the same attention to foundational movements that you give to the sexy stuff and watch your skill-set grow.
