DM #73: this right here is one of the basic tenets of RockTape, and one of the reasons I absolutely love working for this company. No set protocols, no rigid rules to follow. Our goal is to teach you concepts, so that you can take it back to your clinic and apply it as appropriate for the patient in front of you.

Learning how to do something is easy. It's understanding why you're doing it in the first place that makes all the difference.
Traditional schooling fosters a learning style that seeks easy to follow steps that are applicable to everyone. But that's just not how movement works. That's just not how PT works. There's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to treatment, and if someone promises you that, please run the other way.

It takes a bit more work to learn and understand the concept than to be spoonfed technique after technique. But when you realize the exponential growth in your treatment arsenal, it will make all the hard work worthwhile.
