DM #80: Alyson Evans preaching straight gospel right there. I'm honestly sick of professionals claiming they invented some technique or that they were the first to say something. The more you read, the more sources that you expose yourself to, the more you realize that it's all been done before, just with a different name or slightly different explanation.
Now, there is definitely value in providing your “take” on things, or your interpretation of the approach. Different strokes for different folks, and your way of explaining things may prove more helpful to someone than the iterations they previously heard. However, let's all agree to spend less time trying to prove that something is uniquely “ours”, and more time exploring all the different approaches out there that in the end likely aren't so different at all.
