MOTM #040: The Reality of Change with Dr. Joe LaVacca

Monday, August 20th, 2018

Brought my guy JoeJoe LaVacca on to talk about the ugly side of change, aka the shit that no one wants to talk about. Joe is hands-down one of the best physical therapists I know, and while we did spend some time chatting about treatment philosophies, this episode was dedicated to providing a space for him to share his story and impart some wisdom about the bigger picture. He's not the same physical therapist he was five years ago. He's not the same man he was three years ago. Joe got fired, got divorced, got an LLC, and got a new appreciation for the word “hustle”. His story is your story. Entrepreneurship has many flashy parts, but the reality is that it's hard and scary as all hell. Which is why it's important to hear other people's stories and know that you're not alone. To hear those stories and have a bit more insight so that you're not blind-sided when things get real.

Don't worry, I'll bring him on again to talk about movement and all that clinical goodness. But for now, sit back and enjoy a discussion about life.
