DM #103: Trolls happen. Don't let 'em waste your time.
I've been extremely fortunate thus far, and haven't encountered any individuals on social media simply out to pick a fight and be a thorn in my side. You guys have actually all been wonderful beyond words. But it happens. I've seen it.

I was just having this discussion with a colleague, and I figured it warranted a DM. As an educator, it almost physically pains me to see people standing resolutely behind outdated ideas, too closed-minded to reevaluate their position and perhaps see things in a different light. But I have come to realize that it is not my duty to change anyone's mind. I'm simply here to present my ideas, and have open discussions about other ideas that may be out there.
I'm ALWAYS open to discussion, but I'm certainly not here to argue with anyone. Ain't nobody got time for that. I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes: “Never argue with a fool; they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” Enjoy the long weekend ?
