DM #37: You don't always need bands, balls, and foam rollers to work on your mobility. People see the word “exercise” and their minds immediately go to strength training or cardio. Well, movement is movement, and when done properly, exercises can improve your mobility.
As discussed in DM #22, mobility loss is typically preceded by a loss of stability. To that end, using a movement like the goblet squat can help improve one's mobility, as the drill inherently works on stability. It's brilliant!
Yes, sometimes you have to get into a joint or soft tissue and show it some love. But we must not overlook the importance and efficacy of using “exercises” as mobility drills.
And I still haven't forgotten about the hip mobility/butt wink videos I promised you. Road tripping makes filming and posting videos kinda difficult. It will happen though!
