DM #34: This post was inspired by all the walking I did today, and all the folks I saw who couldn't walk so well.
The human body is an incredible gift, and all too often we take it for granted. Something hurts? Stop doing that. Something is too difficult? Do something else. Suddenly all the things we've avoided catch up to us and we're barely able to take one step forward.
I watched countless folks today either have to sit on the sidelines as their loved ones left and took in the sights, or decide to brave what really wasn't a difficult walk, and fear for their lives with each step. Young people. Adults in their 50s or 60s. People who absolutely should be moving far better than they were.
I know I'm always on my soapbox about movement, but there's a reason for it. We only get one body. Move it or lose it.
