DM #434: Stress, is stress, is stress…and your body doesn't know the difference.
—
When discussing the concept of #antifragility, stress is at the forefront, as it's mere existence is a good thing…depending on the kind and the amount. Physical, emotional, mental stress…it's all interpreted by your body as stress. How we respond to it and what we attach to it will greatly influence how it affects us.
—
I'm strategically posting this on a Sunday night, because I know that for some people, there jobs are a TREMENDOUS source of stress…often times something that these folks attempt to counter with working out intensely…which is yet another form of stress. My point is absolutely not to encourage you to stop working out, but to take a step back and consider the effect that that stress may be having on your health, and act accordingly.

We only get one body. It's incredible. It's resilient. It has the potential to be #antifragile when stressed appropriately. But too much much stress takes us the opposite direction and exposes the inherent fragility that makes antifragility possible. Stress, is stress, is stress. Don't forget that.
