Ohhhh just trying to keep my leg from falling off. Here I’m using a two-handed feathering technique with the @RockTape Mallet. Yes, it is a bigger, heavier tool, but it works great for large areas (like my huge, muscular quads?), and the weight is actually a nice feature.
Feathering is just one of the techniques we teach in our RockTape Blades course. This technique is designed to tap into the free nerve endings within the the fascia which respond best to light, feather-like touch. These nerves send their info to the insular cortex, which in non-fancy speak means they make you feel goooooood. This is one of the best techniques for pain management, and the first technique I’d recommend using when performing IANSM (Instrument Assisted Neurosensory Modulation). Forget IASTM, we changin the game??. Remember, bruising is not better. Better is better. Don’t believe me? Sign up for a Blades course and let me debunk some of those myths. #Maestrofied
