Well, here goes nothing. My girl @venus2bfab threw out a 14 day flow challenge, and here's day number one of #FlowInto2017. Could have glammed it up and edited this to show you only the sexy takes (well, as sexy as I could make them ?) but wanted to use this as a teaching moment. Got a few points to make here:
1: There is NO such thing as perfect movement. Not even from the Maestro ?
2: There is no shame in regressing a movement. I'm still very much working through my right hip injury, and as you can see, I simply modified the movements as necessary.
3: Speed hides need. I did this flow for about 10 minutes, alternating between slow and fast, and clipped a faster portion so that you guys would be able to see both legs in action. The slow portion was sooooo much harder but allowed me to really feel the movements.
4: Less rules, more movement.
I absolutely love this challenge because it's all about play, exposing yourself to new movements, and feeling. Truly feeling the movements and positions, not just getting through it.
How would you move if I told you there was no “wrong” way to do it. Give @venus2bfab a follow, join the challenge, and, if you're up to it, share your journey. We're all in this together.
