DM # 263: An old one that we’ve all probably heard a million times, but that doesn’t make it any less true.
I’m 5 parts into my Touch Your Toes with the Maestro series and at the heart of it all is this concept of motion…movement. When it comes to movement, it really is use it or lose it. The nice part is that you don’t have to lose it forever. Motion is like WD-40 for our bodies. ? Well, technically speaking I suppose you could say hyaluronic acid is like WD-40 for our body. But motion is what gets that stuff moving all around!
So, when you find that something hurts, the answer is not to stop moving it forever or never do that activity again. Side note, if you go to a provider and the only advice they can give you is to give up what you like doing…find a new provider. But anyway, as per DM #234, if it hurts to perform a movement, don’t do it more often, do it differently and better. KEEP MOVING!
