But, notice I said earned. Not bullied into, forced into, pushed into, or anything of the sort. Earned.
You must demonstrate to your nervous system that you have command over those ranges and that you deserve to be granted the freedom to move there. Fall short of convincing that nervous system that you’re safe in those ranges, and it ain’t gonna grant you that mobility.
This is honestly the reason why things like FRC, PNF, strain-counterstain work. Actively contracting tissues throughs the range and demonstrating control; proving to the nervous system that you are worthy of retaining these new ranges. It’s honestly quite simple.
