DM #278: Swiped this one from the @noigroup's most recent newsletter that discusses an opinion piece in the New York Times. The article referenced the use of conversation as “placebo”, and to most of you smart folks out there would be a bit of a “no duh” moment, however, I found this quote to be particularly good.

Placebo is NOT a dirty word. Honestly, I think the fact that word even exists more so speaks to our society's lack of understanding about the role of psychology as it relates treatment of pain and dysfunction.
A treatment doesn't need to create a physical or physiological change for it to “work”. In a time where opioid addiction is rampant, if a non-invasive treatment makes you feel better, I'll take it. #Maestrofied
