DM #296: Patched up my girl @venus2bfab last night and pretty much had a jinx moment as this little nugget got dropped.
Venus and I are super fortunate to be able to do what we love…and get paid for it. We have careers that allow us to travel, be physical, stay active, promote health and wellness, and meet LOTS of dope people. But at the end of the day, too much of a good thing doesn't make it extra good.
Basically if an activity involves more than sitting on the sofa eating Doritos while watching tv, is a stressor on your body. Heck, even sitting in the same place too long will be a stressor on you body. This means that even though you may have the best job in the world, or doing exercise that you absolutely love, it still counts as stress, and should be monitored accordingly.
Life is all about balance. Health is all about balance. Happiness is all about balance. That shoulder pain that suddenly popped up or that cough that just won't go away, yeah, that can be your body's way of telling you that even though your job is the ?, you need a little less of it, and a little more balance.
Stress is stress. Even if it's the good kind.
