The knee is a fairly simple joint. It flexes, it extends, there's some rotation, and yes, it glides. It's more than a simple hinge joint, but there's really not that much to it. It's gonna do what the ankle allows and what the hip can control.

So, yes, if your knee hurts you gotta address it, but make sure you're looking above and below to find the culprit. Remember, where you think it is, it ain't.
