DM #330: Semantics? Maybe. Do I think the intent we give our actions directly affects the outcome? Absolutely.

So what am I talking about here? Just once again trying to highlight the importance of movement when it comes to health and wellness.
—
Movement is foundational. It is essential. Focus on movement better, moving well, and then start layering the rest on top. Clearly I LOVE training, and I’m certainly no stranger to exercise, but without a solid movement foundation, these two things become very difficult. In all honesty, ‘exercise’ as we view it is really only a thing because we don’t move enough during daily life. Everyone loves talking about animals and saying motivational things that liken them to some ferocious beast. Well, guess what, lions don’t exercise. They move. The get trained to kill (or at least that’s what I learned in The Lion King) and then they simply live, and move. Let that marinate for a second.
—
I’m never sure just who reads these DMs, and I’m sure that there are plenty of you out there who HATE exercising and have no desire to train for anything. Guess what, that’s ok. Move. Find what you enjoy, and do it. Garden, hike, dance, go searching for bugs. Whatever. Find something that involves movement, and go do it.
—
So, my point? What is it always? Move. Your body will thank you.
