DM #392: In all honesty, it's usually the long-tight ones that bark at you. Just sayin.
—
So what the heck am I talking about? Well, let's take your pecs for example. For most brochachos these tissues are pretty short, but usually don't feel particularly tight on a day-to-day basis or cause too many day-to-day issues. Those traps on the other hand. Not always in the most shortened position and yet folks stay trying to stretch them because they always “feel” tight.

Don't confuse perception and physiology. While you may think something is short, it can just have tone/tension as part of a neurological reflexive loop. Translation: your body is trying to impart stability to that area by increasing the tone. Doesn't mean it's short, doesn't mean it's long. Means that it's staying exactly the length it is, and not moving an inch. Soooo, don't assume it needs to be stretched. Might just need to be shortened, relaxed, then retrained. ??♂️
