DM #407: No I don't have any double-blind, palcebo-controlled studies to prove this ?. No, I am not saying they by itself it will get rid of your acne, help you win the lottery, and run faster. ??♂️ All that I am saying is that as with any other supplement, when added to other good things (eating well, sleeping, drinking water, being active) it has the potential to be helpful.

Curcumin, one of the components of Turmeric, is touted for its anti-inflammatory properties. For those of you who checked out my instastory last night, you saw that I was having a shot of this delicious tasting stuff (?). Why? My janky hip is acting up and I want to calm it down. I jumped weird and it started buggin. Acute injury –> inflammation –> let's treat that ?.

Does the internet cite turmeric as helping out a bunch of things? Yes. Can I confirm any of these statements? Absolutely not. All I know is that it's natural, safer than traditional NSAIDs, and has yet to produce any negative effects in me. Oh, and a social media friend told me that taking it with black pepper can help it's absorption (apparently it's not so readily absorbed).

How much? How often? I have no idea. I mix a spoonful into about a shot of water and throw it back (can't swallow pills ??♂️). Would love for any of you folks out there who know anything about turmeric or have any anecdotal stories to share them below ??. And if you're just gonna post that it's placebo effect and provide nothing of actual value to the convo, thanks but no thanks ?. Better is better. Thanks in advance. You guys are the best. ❤️
