DM #460: Assess, don't guess.

Just because someone can't touch their toes doesn't mean that they need mobility work. Just because someone has incontinence when they jump doesn't mean that they need to strengthen their pelvic floor. A person with ankle restrictions can present the same exact torso lean as a person with great ankle mobility but poor core stability. When you assume that you know the cause of someone's movement dysfunction you make an ass out of yourself. Don't bring me into this.

I'm thinking that this one doesn't need much more explanation, so I'm gonna keep it short. Until you assess, it's just a guess. You might guess right, and then again, you maybe be completely wrong and spend month after month working on the wrong thing. Choose wisely.
