Now, I’m guilty of it too, so don’t think that I’m over here throwing stones from my glass house (with my shoulder that’s also made of glass because I need to do more accessory work ?). But, I was rapping with my girl @carleeacevedofuller today and it hit me: People get better when they prioritize their rehab…and accessories are never a priority. Yes, that necklace might totally go with that outfit and that bracelet might be the ?, but neither of those accessories are as important as oh, say, pants…or a shirt. Forget to put on your bracelet, not the end of the world. Forget to put on pants…you might want it to be the end of the world.

So, while this might be a discussion about semantics, the reality is, words matter, and the words we choose will inherently assign value to that thing. Call it an accessory and it will be valued as such. Consider it part of your work out and suddenly skipping it stops being an option. Give it the time and effort it deserves, because, lets’s face it, you, with your weak shoulder, stiff hips, tight ankles, sore back, cricked neck, or creaky knees need that stuff the most.
