DM #638: K.I.S.S. it.

Was having a dope convo with my friends at @integratedkineticneurology the other day, and this simple, yet very thoughtful gem rolled out. No, don’t chase all the rabbits, but if you have a system in place that can herd and keep them in one area, well, suddenly you’ve changed the game.

What the heck am I talking about? As it relates to PT, an integrated systems approach. Spoke about this in DM #636, and it’s a concept that I thought was absolutely worth revisiting. We MUST remember that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. The human body is so much more than just a bunch of individual systems stuck together. They all work together. Play together. Function together. Figure out ways to treat multiple systems at once and you just mind find your patients getting better faster, and/or even better, staying better.

So, first do yourself a favor and head on over to @integratedkineticneurolgy and see what they’re all about. I’m taking a course in June and you’d be wise to jump on the bandwagon. Be an early adopter. Second, remember that we’re treating humans, not tables. It’s all connected.
