DM #656: A question for the CrossFit haters out there 🤷🏽♂️.
—
Now, your mom likely asked you this very question about food, and as you grew up, perhaps you actually tried that food and found out you didn’t actually hate it. Flip side, maybe you tried and now how an actual negated experience to back up those ill feelings. But either way, you stopped assuming and actually TRIED it. Important thing to note.

It’s @CrossFit Open season, which means some of my posts will be skewed towards that, and it still kinda blows my mind to read some of the stuff floating around the interwebs (I suppose nothing should surprise me at this point, #tidepods, and yet…).
—
CrossFit is NOT inherently bad. It is NOT inherently dangerous. It is NOT keeping PTs and chiros in business. I could stand on my soapbox and talk about how it’s done more for movement than any single exercise paradigm out there, or the fact that most recreational runners get injured at least once during their running career and yet “you should run” continues to be the recommendation for folks looking to get in shape…Ok so I’ll stand on it a little. 😜
—
CrossFit may not be for everyone, but the workouts are absolutely scalable for anyone. And as for the injuries, how bout we stop solely blaming the activity and start looking at the individual voluntarily partaking in that activity…and never checking their ego at the door 🤔. —
My point is simple, don’t knock it til you’ve tried it.
