MOTM #160: Overcoming Impostor Syndrome with Emma Jack

Monday, November 18th, 2019

Impostor syndrome is an epidemic. Plenty of qualified professionals spend years of their life hiding from their full potential because they’re just too scared. That’s where Emma Jack comes in.

Emma went through every class possible because she felt it was the only way she could be fully “qualified.” Sundays were filled with anxiety and weekdays were spent feeling like a fake—that is until Emma decided to do something about it. Her entire community responded and she realized that she wasn’t alone at all.

So Emma dedicated her time to growing as a person and moving beyond her fears, only to find out that her professional development caught up just as fast. You can’t fake confidence, but that doesn’t make you a lost cause. Emma puts in the time to bring others up with her, and proves that the secret to moving past Impostor Syndrome isn’t more schooling… It’s loving where you are, and allowing yourself to just connect.
