Got cactus arms? ? Let's figure out why. Stop yelling at your athletes to straighten out their arms and give them something to help them actually be able to do it.
Neural tension and decreased range of motion can be addressed many ways, and this is just one way that I like. Obviously this can be regressed to a more sidelying position or progressed to half kneeling or standing. I like to start here because of the feedback that it gives you.
Keep the elbow straight, keep the torso level, don't hold the breath, and don't touch the wall. Fight for the range, work through that sticking point. Give it a shot and let me know what you think.
