Day 3 of @venus2bfab's #flowInto2017 14 day challenge. Thoracic and hip extension ain't really my jam and my left shoulder gives me the stank eye when do most closed chain activities with it, so honestly, I really liked this flow. Forcing me to move through and work on my ?. Each day of this challenge has presented its own unique opportunities to play and discover just how you're moving. Notice I didn't say how WELL you're moving. Simply, HOW you are moving. I spend a whole lot more time lying on the ground than Venus, both mentally and physically preparing for the next move…and I'm ok with that. Progress, not perfection.
Take a breath. Take a step back. Get over yourself. Relax. Have fun. It doesn't have to be perfect.
Go slow, go fast, regress, progress, modify. For all my crossfitters out there, I can't recommend this challenge enough. Explore that transverse plane. Explore your unilateral movement. Get on the ground and get out of your comfort zone. You can hide behind a barbell. There's no hiding from gravity. Movement. Never. Lies.
Try it. Film it. Post it. Tag Venus. Don't be shy. We're all in this together.
