Currently freezing in Connecticut but last week I spent some time in sunny SoCal working on the ol hip AND shoulder AND midline. Absolutely love this drill.
Goal is to maintain that low bear crawl position and move in and out of hip flexion without moving the pelvis and coming out of neutral spine. One of the things I like most about this drill is exploring the asymmetries between my hips, and working on actively improving the range of motion while having the core engaged.
My active end range hip flexion isn't so great, and after my hip injury a few months back, the difference in feeling between the two is undeniable.
