DM #448: ?…

When you hear hoofbeats think horses, not zebras. But sometimes, just sometimes, it's a zebra. Was having a dope dinner convo with my girl @primalstrengthdoc (do yourself a favor and give her a follow) and this little nugget of info popped up. I mean, who doesn't talk about pelvic floor stuff over dinner?! ?

Anyway, the pelvic floor is the base of your “core”. Dysfunction in that area means compensation elsewhere. While often times we see that compensation occurring at areas a bit closer, experiencing symptoms at the foot really isn't that much of a stretch. For those of you into fascial chains, check out that deep front line (Tom Meyers work): pelvic floor, posterior tib, flexor hallucis longus, flexor digitorum longus…all part of that same line. Find one area isn't working well, don't be surprised if another area takes up the slack…and then starts hurting ??♂️.

Take home message: Another Ida Rolf kinda night. “Where ya think it is…it ain't.” Treat the symptoms, but go back and find the cause.
