DM #440: You're widening your base of support. Why? To make that nervous system feel safer. Something, somewhere, ain't so stable and you're nervous system will compensate for that real quick.

Saw this today and figured it was worth sharing. When you assess someone, look at everything. And not all the small, microscopic, “I need a goniometer to measure this” things. Take a step back and just look at the forest without obsessing over the trees.

So, what's lacking stability? The feet, the core, the knees? I have no idea. Ya gotta assess. I'm just here to give you a heads up so you can get a head start on helping out your people. It all matters…unless it doesn't ?. But really, standing like that matters. Something is going on. It's your job to figure out what.
