Bringing back one from the vault. Filmed this last time I was in Brooklyn so it seemed only appropriate that I repost it as I head back from this go-round. BTW, I haven't had that knee pain in a loooooong time. —

Couldn't leave NYC without filming a video back where it all started at @crossfit718. Yes, it was that cold there ?
Shot this badboy yesterday after a dope session with my girl @coachtambot. Was having some deep lateral knee pain, and one of the best ways I've found to help manage it is with tib-fem CARs (controlled articular rotations) as presented by @drandreospina, to help restore normal and full motion at the joint.

The goal is slow, controlled motion that is targeted at and localized to (as much as possible) the joint you're trying to work on. Here I'm working to improve tibial internal and external rotation. Irradiation techniques can be used to help increase the amount of muscle contraction utilized.

I've got a grade IV chondral defect (read: my ? is pretty jacked up) on both the femoral and tibial surfaces at the lateral part of my knee. I believe that one of the reasons my symptoms flare up is because I lose the normal motion that should be occurring at my knee, and instead I get weight bearing and friction at that unhappy spot. Introduce some motion and work through the entirety of the range, and voila, less contact at that unhappy area. Movement is absolutely medicine. Have you taken your daily dose?
