Full Transcript: MOTM #515: Business & Bullshit with My Bestie Part 1: Doing the Thing

[Transcript starts at 2:46]

JillFit: It was 2009 and it was a Friday night

at eight o'clock at night,

and I'm driving across town,

like 20 minutes to train one single client for $15.

Maestro: I would be dreading Monday so much,

I didn't have time for the Sunday scaries. It was the Friday scaries. And I was like,

I will go work at Costco. I hate this so much.

JillFit: I think so many people stay in that level of misery, even a level of just complacency, because they go, well, even if I'm miserable,

at least it's familiar.

Maestro: Can you give it to me straight? Give it to me real with what beginners should be thinking about of how much work this actually takes to get started and then to continue, and then to go to that next level.

JillFit: Part of the motivation in doing what I do, and what we do, is

I like that many people wouldn't do it. I'll be honest. Like, you know, I think that's the athlete in me and probably it is in you too.

Maestro: Did you fall down?

JillFit: Yeah, I fell right over it. I could not move. I just ran right into it. I could not lift my leg off the ground. And then I crawled over it and jogged to the finish line.

Maestro: Something that you and I have talked about, Jill,

is can anyone do it? Can anyone do this online business thing?

JillFit: What would you tell someone who said, “Hey, I want to start my online business, but I need to see if social media is worth my time?”

Maestro: Jill said earlier that we launch Legacy in Vegas, which we do. You want to share the story of the underboob, Jill?

JillFit: Yes, this is actually f*cking hilarious.
