Can you get hurt doing CrossFit? Sure. Can you get hurt doing just about anything? Absolutely. Honestly, the “hurt” you'll experience from sitting on your couch, exacting crappy food, and getting diabetes is way worse than any hurt you may experience from doing CrossFit ??♂️.

The data does NOT support this notion of CrossFit as some super dangerous modality. The stats do however provide us with information on how “dangerous” running is, with the majority of runners getting injured at some point in their “career”, and yet no one says anything.

I am not defending shitty coaches. Clearly that's no good. But CrossFit, in and of itself is not bad for you. Listen to your body. Have some accountability for your actions. Don't just do things mindlessly or because someone told you to. Be a student of movement. Pay attention to your movement. Care about the quality of your movement. Check your ego at the door.

Follow those steps and you'll be just fine. CrossFit is NOT bad for you. Bad CrossFit is bad for you. Bad ANYTHING is bad for you. Learn the difference.
