Todays guests are the only people I’ve ever had on the show for a three-peat, my good friends Alex Parker and Meredith Root. We’ve heard their story before (so check out Episodes 44 and 76 if you missed them) but as we roll into 2020 I wanted to have them on to focus on how they set goals, because let's face it, crushing goals is what they do.
In addition to their own CrossFit training and competing, Meredith and Alex are nutrition and lifestyle coaches, and as such goal setting is second nature to them. Their clients range from absolute beginners to seasoned pros, but Alex and Meredith use the same technique to get them feeling motivated and headed towards success: setting small, achievable goals, and having them focus on meeting expectations of effort, not outcome.
Meredith and Alex know better than anyone that the changes we make to achieve our goals aren’t sacrifices, but a choice we make every day to have the body, the health, and the life we want. After all, the woman on top of the mountain didn't fall there.
